In order to underline the finiteness of life, we made 9 dials from a molar of a genuine mammoth in our workshop. The oldest mammoth fossil remains are around 5.7 million years old, they "only" became extinct 4000 years ago. An important feature was the lamellar structure of the molars, which was achieved through narrow enamel folds. This is where the structure of the dial came from.
