Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) is the red motor racing colour of cars entered by teams from Italy. Since the 1920s, Italian race cars such as Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, and later Ferrari and Abarth have been painted in Rosso Corsa. This still is the customary national racing colour of Italy. This timepiece was also influenced by the streamlined design of the automotive bodies from the 1930s, which were built so that they had air resistance as little as possible in order to achieve maximum speed.
