Pile dwellings are houses that had been built on stilts on Lake Biel 5000 years ago. The dial of this clock is made of oak (bog oak) from such posts. At first, we had to conserve the previously dried wood in order not to impair the structure of the wood and so that it could be ground to the required fineness of 0.9 mm. This design underlines the Memento Mori idea of our watch line and is a tribute to the 5000-year-old culture of pile-dwellers. Limited Edition of 9 pcs. Handmade in Switzerland. 2 years warranty
